Continuing from my last post, this is all about food!
Just FOOD!! Places I went to eat throughout my trip.
Some photos are pretty bad because of excitement eating first before taking picture of it.
Screw the photo! Food's gonna get cold!
Oh and also, you can click to Everything is Pixar to see food at Disney!
Nothing Bunt Cakes
Started my first breakfast in LA with Nothing Bunt Cakes.
In-N-Out
No secret menu, just simple burger and fries. Fries were surprisingly not good!
Halo Top Creamery
Since we were there, might as well try all their freshly made cones.
- Peaches n'cream + Puffles
- Caramel Maciatto + Waffle Cone
El Chilito
This I don't have everyday so it was delicious! I got Manjo Juice, Mango Flower with Tajin Spices. I'm not good with spices so Tajin was a little too much for me.
Honeymee
Rushed to take photo cuz ice cream was melting already.
Great flavor, simple and clean.
Tsujita
Tsukemen is my favorite ramen. Dunking that noodle into salty-ass soup base, you can't go wrong with that! They also make really good runny egg that goes so well with the soup. Ordered with Iced Matcha.
Chinchikurin
This one was exciting one for me. I never had Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki!
The big difference is it comes with yakisoba layered with Okonomiyaki. And you have a choice of yakisoba to be soft or crunchy. We went for crunchy.
Gen
Local chain KBBQ.
Lard Lad Donut(Universal Studio)
I loved this donut! It was dense like cake but still bouncy like pizza dough. This was our Brunch at Universal Studio.
Butter Beer (Universal Studio)
This was refreshing on the hot weather! Butterscotch, Shortbread, and Ginger, it's everything I love in one drink!
Cletus' Chicken Shack's Chicken Thumbs & Krusty Burgers
Freezy Ray (Universal Studio)
Banana Mango Smoothie topped with whipped cream(removed ours), mango poppers, strawberry pearls and candy bananas. Another refreshing drink for hot weather! Drinking straw was cool how it has temperature color change.
Voodoo Doughnut
Tony Toma's
E!ght KBBQ
If you are thick cut Pork belly lover then this is your place.
Astro
One of the main donut I wanted to try in LA, Creme Brulee donuts!
A square shaped donut injected with custard and then caramelized sugar torched on top.
The top layer cracks like Creme Brulee so you can enjoy the chewy dough with crunchy sugar. Ordered separately with fried chicken and you can enjoy the combination of sweet and salty meal!
Monzo
Homemade fresh udon in Little Tokyo. I would eat this everyday!
Tempura egg is additional order that's worth it!
Dulce
Maple bacon mini donuts
Snowya
It came to Toronto recently so no surprise anymore but a croissant takiyaki was delicious! Got red beans, chocolate and custard.
Mochi Ice Cream at Little Tokyo
Sprinkles
Cupcake joint I've known for 12 years, and finally tried it! Love it!
I like that the frosting isn't overly sweet.
Chick-Fil-A
No idea they served waffle fries! Forever my favorite place to eat fries!
Monzo @Sawtelle
Quick last stop at Monzo Express for midnight snack.
TACMiEnDo
Breakfast before driving to San Diego
American Junkie
Wondered around Gaslamp Quarter after SDCC and picked cheap dine-in restaurant for dinner.
Shake Shack
Burger was really good but I love crinkle fries!! Ate it for lunch.
Oscar's Mexican Seafood
Wondered around in Gaslamp Quarter and found this place. My favorite is their deep fried shrimp taco!
The Donut Bar
Japadog
Didn't thought I would find this. Totally tried their kurobuta dog. I love that it actually taste like Japanese sausage! I dont need to go to Vancouver anymore.
Kazunori
Dedicated Temaki bar. This arrived in Toronto recently but the set menu is way different. So I'm glad I tried this place out here instead!
Street Food Taco
Last meal in Cali.
