This post is all about Pixar Pier and Pixar Fest, one of the biggest main reason of going to California!
Disneyland California has an event "Pixar Fest" where they had Pixar themed food, parades, exclusive collectables and souvenirs. Couldn't get everything we wanted cuz we were already behind getting in the game.
I love when Pixar does simple graphical illustration of their 3d characters. Everywhere I go I see so many cute design elements of their film.
Pixar Pier was Disneyland California Adventure Park's new theme park that used to be Paradise Pier. Everything was revamped to Pixar theme.
So the images above and below, these little things I like to see with their 3d characters turning into simple 2d graphics.
Even the trash cans were adorable.
This the new ride Incredicoaster. The ride is simple roller coaster but I loved all the graphic images on the walls!!
Again, these little details I love to see. Silhouettes of Pixar character that are distinctive enough to know who they are.
They opened up new restaurant called Lamplight Lounge. The reservation was fully book for next 2 months but you cans still line up for walk-in from 20min-60min.
Menu with hand drawn drink menu. My kind of taste!
One of big reason we wanted to walk into Lamplight Lounge. They serve their drink with paper coaster of Pixar's sketches on. There's 9 in total and the waitress were kind enough to let us have all the versions.
And might as well try their food, Potato Skins.
They give out Food guide of Pixar themed food that's participating across entire Disneyland.
I didn't try all of them, but picked out the ones that sounded most delicious.
@ Alien Pizza Planet - Disneyland
The Macarooooon
Couldn't say no to this adorable Alien macron. The filling is purple with flavor of blueberry or grape flavor? but it has that sweet berry flavor that's not too sweet.
Green Alien Pasta
I did wonder what the heck this was going to be. But anything green pasta would be basil pesto or spinach pasta. Surprisingly this was really good. It was pesto with greens peas, bacon bits, and parm cheese. Quite buttery so it has rich flavor with it.
Alien Drinking Straw
Collectable straws from Pixar Fest that can also be keychain.
@ Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats - Disney California Adventure
Pixar Pier Frost Parfait
Next best refreshing cold food to Dole Whip. It's a Lemonade flavor with fluffy blueberry(?) flavored slushie in the middle.
@ Schmoozies! - Disney California Adventure
Whoop-eye Pie
Mike Wazowski whoopie pie! Comes with birthday cake flavored ice cream with nice and chewy cake sandwich!
@ Plaza Inn - Disneyland
Pixar Celebration Cake
Gonna nerdy it out here, my cake didn't have Luxo ball Fondent on like the picture. Then I found out later at Pacific Wharf Cafe in California Adventure Park has plastic Luxo ball on the cake that you can take home... I already tried the cake so I let that one go...
The cake was good though. It was nice and moist. Each layer did have its own flvaor but I wasn't sure what they were exactly...
Sully popcorn container and Mike Wazowski sipper
These were super cute but they were about $15-$18US. Not sure what to do with these after the trip is over so I took photos instead.
Apparently Green Alien is out there like Sully but that's only for Season's Pass exclusive only.....
@Pixar Pier
Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums
After your dinner, eating this giant soft chocolate cookie is ideal!
The night gets pretty chilly and this cookie is served warm so it perfect to eat this while you're standing in lines. This cookie is about 1cm thick and you'll need a fork! or not?
From Pixar Pier in California Adventure Park, you can see 10pm fireworks from Disneyland. Everywhere you stand, you can get great view.
Adventure is really out there!
Night time at Pixar Pier was beautiful! It's really too bad this park closes a lot earlier than Disneyland.
