Green Onion Soy Sauce

Quick and easy sauce you can make for your simply cooked protein. It goes well with grilled chicken, boiled eggs, grilled fish, bowl of rice, and any steamed vegetables.

My current favorite combination is lightly peppered pan fry bass and put it on bowl of rice. And then pour 1 tbsp of the soy sauce and mix the sauce with fish and rice and just chug that in your mouth!

Green Onion Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onion. You can also chop finely too.
- 1/8 cup of soy sauce.

1. Put two ingredients together.
2. Let green onion marinate into soy sauce for at least 30min stirring twice during the marination.
3. Serve with any protein or rice.

You can also let it marinate overnight and serve it the next day. The flavor of green onion will release more and gives more interesting flavor fused with soy sauce.

Left Over Veggie Salad

This is a dish I make when I have random leftover vegetables in the fridge.

I usually buy whole bag of carrots, only use half of cucumber packs, or peppers that's just sitting there. It's easy and quick to make, you can even make bigger batch for dinner next day!

You can always use other vegetables like grape tomatoes, radish, broccoli, cabbage, etc.

left over veggie salad: ready to serve

- 6 mini peppers, sliced
- 3 mini cucumber or half cucumber, sliced
- 2 carrots, shredded

- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil

- 1 green onion, minced
- crushed sesame seeds
- ground pepper

1. With your choices of vegetables, slice them all up and pour into a medium bowl that you can easily toss.

2. Make the dressing following the ingredient.

3. Pour the dressing into the vegetable bowl.

4. Optional: add green onion, sesame seed, ground pepper

5. Lightly toss, or mix all the ingredient with wooden spoon.

6. You can serve immediately, or stir every 15 min until flavor fuses to each other.

Niku Miso Dip With Vegetables

There is Japanese appetizer called "Niku Miso Kyuri" - Ground beef miso paste with cucumber.
Normally this ground beef is served with cucumber but I tried with other vegetables.

I like this dish because you can eat raw vegetable all you want with nice protein dip. I tried with ground beef, chicken, and turkey and they all taste good. For healthy option turkey might be better choice!

Moleskine Fish Log

I started fishing about 5 years ago now.
Been logging my fishing trips in my planner but I thought maybe it's time to have its own official fishing logbook!

It's one of those thing I'm hoping to log my entire fishing life recorded in this notebook.

Scroll down to see the tutorial!

2: With piece of paper following the dimension of the notebook, draw out the design.

You are using this as transferring paper, so use a pencil to color in the entire design.

3. Open the notebook and place the transfer behind the cover(front side facing down). Use any paper clip to secure the transfer if needed.

Redraw the design backward to transfer the design.

This is how it looks like from the back cover(image left) and the front cover(image right).
