Materials:
- Any colored yarn
- Empty glass ornaments from Michael's (6x in one set)
- Crochet yarn or any string to hang ornaments

Process is simple, pull off the cap of the ornament and spool in your choice of yarn inside the ornament until it completely fills up. Give a little shake also so the yarn will pack inside more.

Place the cap back on the ornament and then add string to the metal loop so you can hang your ornament.

Fun Way To Fix Your Window Screen

Little idea you can do with your window screens that has holes to fix!

Instead of using screen repair patch, why not make it more fun and colorful by stitching the patch like quilting??

Window Screen Repair Idea

I had a window that has screens with holes that I never bothered to fix because it sounded ridiculous to buy whole sheets of screen or repair patch to fix 2 little holes. Which also means I never opened this window because of that!

So now is the time to make changes and make these holes more fun for our home.

Materials:
- Embroidery thread(or any thick thread so it's more visible from far away) with your choice of color.
- Sewing needle
- Patch of mesh(I used leftover patch that I already had while ago)

Process is simple, you just have to place the patch to how ever you like and do zig-zag stitch around the whole square.

Because you're working with mesh it's so much easier to follow the stitch spacing by counting the grid mark. I put 2 gaps in between in each stitch.

Here is Before and After:
*Before shot has 2 holes on the left side that you may not see. I didn't pay attention that I took after shot, the holes are on the right side.

I had never looked forward to have more holes for me to add more patches!

For now, I'll enjoy looking that this quilting patch floating on my window.

Second Time At Montreal

Went back to Montreal again over Canada Day long weekend.

Went to eat, cycle, eat, cycle, eat and cycle.
It had small moments of rain but created beautiful sky that you can't look away.

Shoe Rack

Before we had this default coat rack that came with this house when we moved in.
For last few years we've been using this coat rack and didn't have proper place to store shoes every time we enter our home, so our shoes were huge mess on the ground.

But FINALLY! We built our shoe rack to keep it organized, clean floor, and coat rack that we like!

Show Rack: before and after

In the main floor we have a theme to have all wooden shelf to be stained to give more rustic interior look.
From my past projects I kept consistent with a specific wood stains.
- Kitchen Shelves
- Wooden Gift Box

Shoe Rack

Materials:
- 6pc, 1x8x4 Pine wood from Home Depot
- Minwax Wood Finish - Golden Oak 210B
- 12pc, Everbilt 3 Inch X4 Inch Black Shelf Bracket
- 24pc 6-8x1 drywall screws
- 12pc 4x1 screws

Cut and sand down the wood piece for smoother finish. Removed excess dust with vacuum cleaner and then stained the wood.

Shoes are never on the ground anymore so it's so much easier to vacuum and it makes the cleaning a little more fun!
