Happy Mother's Day!
And to all mothers who supported us all!
Our family have different tradition to celebrate Mother's Day where we also celebrate Father's Day too(But that's mainly because my dad doesn't care for Father's day celebration so I just combine the two).
My parents gave us lot of fun memories in our childhood. So this year, I wanted to give them our childhood memory they gave us in illustration form.
When we were kids, my mom made this jumbo sized stuffed rooster to play with. It was big enough to have my two little brothers and myself to sit on, sit comfortably to read books(manga), and sleep on too.
The head piece definitely didn't last that long. In the end, we spent time sitting on it headless and you can see the way my mom stuffed this rooster. That was lot of cottons and sponge to stuff!
I love IKEA's square shadow box frame! I've been wanting to illustrate something that involves with layering paper to paper to have little more depth with my illustration.
Here is wip shots of how I made this illustration.
